Francisco Solano

Francisco Solano was a Spanish Franciscan friar and missionary known for his work in South America, particularly in the regions now known as Peru, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Born in 1549, he dedicated his life to evangelization and was canonized by Pope Benedict XIII in 1726. His legacy includes various celebrations and religious observances in honor of his contributions to the Catholic faith in the New World.
