Francius Luanda Marganda

Francius Luanda Marganda, a 42-year-old man with ties to Jakarta and New York, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for orchestrating a Ponzi scheme that defrauded at least 237 victims out of $24.5 million. His operation involved soliciting investments from fellow Indonesians, including targeting church communities, before fleeing the U.S. in 2021. He was apprehended in Singapore in 2023 and later extradited to the U.S. for prosecution.
