Franco Bassetto

Franco Bassetto is an elected president of the Italian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (SICPRE) and a professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Padua. He has been actively involved in improving standards and practices in aesthetic surgery, especially in light of recent incidents highlighting the risks associated with unqualified practitioners. Bassetto has called for greater awareness among patients regarding the qualifications of their surgeons and the accreditation of facilities where procedures are performed, aiming to enhance patient safety in cosmetic interventions.
