Franco Moncur

Franco Moncur is the founder and head coach of Hoopers U, a youth basketball club based in Exuma and Nassau, Bahamas. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, Moncur transformed the virtual team into a competitive entity that recently achieved Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) membership, thanks to a generous donation from local businessman Bob Coughlin. Moncur, who also works as a physical education and art teacher at St. Andrew's Anglican School, aims to provide young athletes with opportunities to showcase their talent at higher levels, including college basketball. His leadership emphasizes discipline and a supportive environment for the players, fostering their personal and athletic development.
