Frane Tente
Frane Tente was a young Croatian nationalist from the vicinity of Split, known for his radical actions during World War II. In 1944, he joined the Ustaša youth and later the Ustaša army, participating in activities that led to his imprisonment after he removed a Yugoslav flag and displayed a Croatian one on Marjan Hill. Tente was imprisoned for his political beliefs and died in 1948 at the age of 18 due to health issues while incarcerated. He has since become a symbol of radical right-wing sentiment in Croatia, with commemorative events and tributes in his honor.
