Frank Conway, whose real name was Freddie Scappaticci, was a former member of the IRA who became a notorious double agent for British intelligence. Living a reclusive life in Surrey, England, he was known to his neighbors simply as a quiet Irish man, unaware of his violent past as a key player in the paramilitary group and his involvement in numerous killings during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Scappaticci's identity was revealed in 2003, and he spent his later years in hiding until his death in 2023.
