František Kornaj

František Kornaj is the interim director of the Slovak Arts Council (Fond na podporu umenia), responsible for overseeing the allocation of funding to various cultural programs in Slovakia. Recently, he was in the news due to the council's unanimous decision to alter its support structure for the year 2026, which notably excluded funding for numerous art sectors, including cultural centers across the country.
