Frantz Celestin

Frantz Celestin is the Regional Director of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the East, Horn of Africa, and Southern Africa. He has been actively involved in addressing health and migration challenges in the region, particularly in the context of the ongoing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda. Recently, he emphasized the importance of human mobility in both the spread and containment of infectious diseases, highlighting the IOM's efforts to conduct over a million health screenings along borders to mitigate the impact of the epidemic.
