Franz Paul, a 39-year-old former police officer, has recently made headlines after being remanded in prison on charges of possession of narcotics and illegal firearms. He pleaded not guilty to possessing over 2,200 grams of cannabis, as well as a .22 pistol and ammunition without a license. Paul's attorney stated that he is a businessman with no previous convictions, contending that the police search of his vehicle was conducted in his absence and that the alleged narcotics were found in his trunk.
