Frederic I
Frederic I, also known as Frederick I of Prussia, was a key figure in the establishment of the Kingdom of Prussia and served as its first king from 1701 until his death in 1713. He was known for his efforts to strengthen the military and centralize power in Prussia, as well as for his patronage of the arts and architecture. One of his most notable contributions to cultural heritage was the commissioning of the Amber Room, a stunning chamber decorated with amber panels, mirrors, and gold leaf, which became a symbol of opulence and artistic achievement of the time. Unfortunately, the Amber Room was lost during World War II, adding to its legend and mystique.
