Friedrich Gustave Kadgien
Friedrich Gustave Kadgien (1907-1978) was a high-ranking Nazi official and financier known for his role in the persecution of Jewish art collectors during World War II. He was implicated in the extortion of Jewish merchants in Amsterdam and was a close associate of war criminal Hermann Göring. After the war, Kadgien fled Europe, eventually settling in Argentina, where he continued to live as a businessman. His family's connection to a recently discovered stolen painting from the Dutch art dealer Jacques Goudstikker has drawn renewed attention to his notorious legacy.
