Friedrich Theodor Fröhlich

Friedrich Theodor Fröhlich (1803-1836) was a Swiss composer of the early Romantic period, known for his prolific output of over seven hundred unpublished works, including choral pieces and lieder. Despite being contemporaneous with Franz Schubert, he largely fell into obscurity during his lifetime and remained unrecognized until recent efforts to revive his work. His compositions are noted for their emotional depth and inventive harmonic language, drawing comparisons to the music of Robert Schumann.
