Frik Potgieter

Frik Potgieter is a South African engineer who, alongside his colleague Peter Huxham, was arrested in February 2023 in Equatorial Guinea on controversial drug charges. After spending over two years in prison, during which their detention was deemed arbitrary by the UN, Potgieter and Huxham were granted a presidential pardon and returned to South Africa.
