Fritz Grünbaum was an Austrian Jewish art collector born in 1880, known for amassing a significant collection of over 400 artworks before they were seized by the Nazis in 1938. Initially trained in law, he transitioned into the arts as an actor, writer, and artist, appearing in various films and theatrical productions. His collection included notable works by Egon Schiele, Albrecht Dürer, and modern masters. Tragically, he was murdered in the Dachau concentration camp in 1941.
