
Gabbi Sosseh
Gabbi Sosseh was a prominent Gambian marine engineer and entrepreneur, who played a significant role in the development of football in The Gambia. He co-founded the Gambia Ports Authority Football Team, which was notable for providing stipends to players, and later established his own team, Mass Sosseh. Sosseh also contributed to national development through his work at the Gambia Ports Authority, where he served as Managing Director, and supported the establishment of The Point newspaper. He passed away at the age of 85 on July 29, 2025.
