Gabert, 65, is a long-time Haitian resident of Suriname, having moved there 35 years ago. After gaining his residency following the 2020 elections, he expressed gratitude for his simple life and the opportunity to support his family. He actively participated in the elections, reflecting the political engagement of the Haitian community in Suriname.
