Gabriel Linares

Gabriel Linares is a deaf Venezuelan musician and one of the main characters in María Valverde's documentary 'El canto de las manos.' He is part of the Manos Blancas choir, which is part of Venezuela's National System of Youth and Children Orchestras, known as El Sistema. The documentary highlights his journey and that of his fellow musicians as they prepare to perform Beethoven's opera 'Fidelio' in sign language, showcasing the challenges and triumphs faced by deaf artists in the performing arts.
