Gabriel Siqueira

Gabriel Siqueira is the national coordinator of the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Teto (MTST), an organization advocating for the rights of homeless and low-income families in Brazil. He has been actively involved in efforts to secure dignified housing for marginalized communities, particularly in urban areas like Porto Maravilha in Rio de Janeiro. Recently, he led a movement that saw around 200 families occupy a long-abandoned plot of land, demanding its transformation into affordable housing. Siqueira emphasizes the struggles faced by these families, many of whom are affected by environmental disasters and economic hardship, and he aims to engage government officials in dialogue to address these critical housing issues.
