Gador is a pharmaceutical company based in Argentina that specializes in the development and manufacturing of medications. Recently, it gained significant attention for providing a locally produced alternative to Nusinersen, a treatment for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), which has historically been one of the most expensive drugs in the world. By successfully participating in a government-led tender, Gador offered its version of the drug at nearly half the price of the original, resulting in substantial cost savings for the national healthcare system.
