Gaetano Pandolfo Rímolo

Gaetano Pandolfo Rímolo, affectionately known as Tano, is a prominent Costa Rican journalist and author who has made significant contributions to the field of journalism over his extensive career. A graduate of the University of Costa Rica's School of Journalism, he is recognized for his in-depth reporting and analysis in sports, particularly football, basketball, and baseball. Pandolfo is the voice behind the long-standing opinion column 'La nota de Tano' in La República and has hosted the radio program 'Tano qué tal' for over three decades. His personal journey from battling alcohol addiction to achieving sobriety has inspired many, culminating in the publication of his book 'Para nunca olvidar,' which addresses the themes of alcoholism and recovery. Recently, he was honored with the prestigious Premio Nacional Pío Víquez for his outstanding contributions to journalism in Costa Rica.
