Gagiev, known by the nickname 'Jako', is a notorious Russian crime leader who founded an organized crime group in the early 2000s. His gang was responsible for a series of high-profile murders and criminal activities primarily in Moscow and North Ossetia. In 2012, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for his involvement in numerous violent crimes, including the murders of prominent businessmen and officials. Recently, he made headlines after a purported audio recording suggested he was free and near the border, raising concerns among the families of his victims.
