Gallardo Lobaina

Gallardo Lobaina is a Cuban ballet dancer known for her emotional connection to performance and her ability to embody complex characters on stage. She began ballet at the age of three, inspired by a doctor's recommendation due to her childhood asthma. After training in Havana and moving to Florida, she has made a significant impact on the dance scene in New Zealand since 2020. Lobaina's portrayal of the Firebird in the RNZB's production showcases her dedication to storytelling and her resilience, particularly after facing health challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
