Gapoņenko

Gapoņenko is a pro-Kremlin activist who has been involved in promoting anti-Latvian sentiments and disinformation. Born in 1954, he has a history of inciting national hatred and has been previously convicted for actions against Latvia's national security. He was recently detained by the State Security Service (VDD) for public calls to harm Latvia's security during a pro-Kremlin discussion in Moscow. Gapoņenko has openly supported Russia's aggressive actions in Ukraine and has been linked to various controversial statements regarding the treatment of Russian-speaking individuals in Latvia.
