Gareth Evens

Gareth Evans is a prominent Australian politician and former member of the Australian Labor Party who served as a Minister in the Hawke and Keating governments. He is best known for his tenure as Foreign Minister from 1988 to 1996, during which he played a significant role in shaping Australia's foreign policy, particularly in relation to Southeast Asia and international human rights.
