Gareth Rees

Gareth Rees is a former captain of Canada’s national men's rugby team and currently serves as Rugby Canada’s director of Strategic Partnerships. With a deep passion for the sport, he has witnessed and contributed to the growing popularity of rugby, particularly the fast-paced variant of rugby sevens. Under his leadership, Rugby Canada has focused on expanding the sport's reach, promoting inclusivity, and encouraging participation among diverse communities, especially women and girls.
