Gayantha Marapana

Gayantha Marapana is a Sri Lankan police officer serving as the acting Deputy Inspector General of Police in the Jaffna region. He has recently gained attention for filing a fundamental rights petition against the arbitrary transfer to three police stations over a six-month period, claiming it violates his basic rights by subjecting him to serve under a junior officer. His case is currently being considered by the Supreme Court.
