Gediminas Varvuolis has been appointed as the Lithuanian Ambassador to the United States, effective August 1. He has previously served as an ambassador in Belgium and Japan, showcasing his extensive diplomatic experience. Varvuolis takes over the position from Audra Plepyte, who concluded her term on July 14.
