Gelek Punchok

Gelek Punchok is a 42-year-old member of the Leh Apex Body, advocating for the rights of Ladakhis in the wake of recent protests for Sixth Schedule status and statehood. He was seen outside the district jail receiving released prisoners, many of whom were detained during the unrest, and he has been vocal about the community's demands for local governance and accountability from the government following the violent clashes.
