Gema Modu

Gema Modu is the President of the Institution of Engineers Tanzania (IET), where she advocates for increased participation of women and girls in science and engineering fields. She highlights the significant gender disparity in engineering professions, with only about 4,000 registered female engineers out of 35,000 in the country. Modu actively collaborates with communities to inspire young girls to pursue scientific education and careers.
