Gene Kearon

Gene Kearon is a dual American-Irish citizen and a prominent advocate for changes to Ireland's driving license exchange policies. Born in the US to Irish parents, he spent part of his childhood in Wicklow and relocated to Gorey, Ireland, in October 2022. At 60 years old, Kearon leads a group of individuals holding North American licenses who are pushing for proposals to allow them to swap their licenses for Irish ones without undergoing a driving test, in light of significant test backlogs.
