Gennadiy Borisov

Gennadiy Borisov is an amateur astronomer from Crimea, known for his remarkable discoveries of interstellar comets. He gained prominence in 2019 when he discovered 2I/Borisov, the first known interstellar comet, and recently identified 3I/ATLAS, which was reported in November 2023.
