Gennady Moyseychik
Gennady Moyseychik, born on May 25, 1974, is a former police officer in Belarus who served primarily in public order enforcement and worked with minors. He began his career as a district inspector in Minsk in 1994 and rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel before being dismissed in 2015. Despite his law enforcement background, Moyseychik became involved in protests against the government, which led to his arrest on July 12, 2023. He was subjected to severe beatings during his detention and later sentenced to three years of house arrest for his participation in protests. His case has drawn attention to the treatment of dissenters in Belarus, particularly former law enforcement officials who oppose the regime.
