Geoffrey Avard

Geoffrey Avard is the coordinator of volcanology at the Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (Ovsicori), where he plays a crucial role in monitoring volcanic activity and providing insights into eruption patterns. Recently, he confirmed that the Poás Volcano is in an eruptive phase, clarifying that while the volcano remains active, the likelihood of a large eruption is low due to the limited volume of magma near the surface.
