George Crin Antonescu

George Crin Antonescu is a Romanian politician and member of the National Liberal Party (PNL), known for his previous role as a Minister of Education and as a key figure in Romanian politics. Recently, he was in the news due to a declaration he made to the Securitate, the communist-era secret police, in 1988 regarding a colleague, although the National Council for the Study of Securitate Archives (CNSAS) confirmed that he was not an agent or collaborator of the Securitate.
