Georghe Herbert de Carnarvon

Lord Carnarvon was a British aristocrat and archaeologist, best known for his role in financing the expedition that led to the discovery of the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun in 1922. His partnership with archaeologist Howard Carter resulted in one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century. Carnarvon’s untimely death shortly after the tomb's discovery sparked rumors of a 'curse' associated with the pharaoh, further enhancing the tomb's mystique.
