Georgiy Zhukov
Georgiy Zhukov is a Kazakh football midfielder born in Semey in 1994. He moved to Belgium at a young age, where he began his football career and represented the Belgian U19 national team three times. After obtaining Kazakh citizenship, he played for the Kazakhstan national team from 2015 to 2022, participating in 21 matches. His career has been marred by controversies, including expressing reluctance to represent Kazakhstan and facing potential exclusion from the national team due to social media comments. Recently, he was called up to the national team after a significant absence since March 2022, as new coach Ali Aliyev expressed interest in reintegrating him into the squad.
