Geovanny José Sibaja Fallas

Geovanny José Sibaja Fallas was a 34-year-old lawyer implicated in the Fénix Case, a major narcotrafficking investigation in Costa Rica. He was accused of providing legal assistance to a drug trafficking organization, helping to launder illicit funds through various business entities. Tragically, Sibaja was murdered on May 23, 2021, in Pérez Zeledón, where he was shot multiple times while inside a house. His death occurred nine months prior to significant police operations that uncovered extensive criminal activities and assets linked to the group he allegedly assisted.
