Gerður Pálmadóttir

Gerður Pálmadóttir was an influential Icelandic entrepreneur and designer, known for her creativity and social initiatives. Born on February 24, 1948, in Reykjavík, she founded several businesses, including a successful clothing line in the Netherlands and a gallery in Amsterdam, emphasizing Icelandic design. Gerður was also dedicated to social causes, having established a school in Bangladesh for children, and she co-founded an organization for Alzheimer's caregivers. She passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 77.
