Gerald Camacho Sánchez

Gerald Camacho Sánchez is a seasoned law enforcement professional with over 31 years of active service in Costa Rica's Ministry of Security. Recently appointed as the new director of the Policía Profesional de Migración and coordinator of the Policía de Fronteras, he has extensive experience in special operations, border security, and police education. His previous roles include serving as the director of the Dirección de Unidades Especializadas (DUE) of the Fuerza Pública and teaching at prestigious institutions such as the Inter-American Defense College in Washington, D.C. Camacho holds a degree in Criminology and a master's degree in Inter-American Defense and Security Sciences.
