Gerardo Araneda

Gerardo Araneda is the General Director of Grupo Guandy e Industria de Golosinas, a company that has been manufacturing sweets for over 30 years. Under his leadership, Guandy exports around 12,000 containers of candies, including marshmallows, gummies, and chocolates, to 35 different countries. He also serves as the president of the Sweet, Chewing Gum, and Chocolate Guild, and emphasizes the need for improved economic decentralization and logistics in Guatemala to boost the country's confectionery industry.
