Germán Antonio Rodríguez

Germán Antonio Rodríguez is a volunteer rescuer who played a crucial role in the tragic rescue operations following a fatal bus accident in Antioquia, Colombia. On December 14, 2023, he, along with around 70 to 80 community members and rescue workers, helped to save several victims from a bus that had fallen down a 20-meter slope, resulting in the loss of 17 lives, mostly students aged 16 to 18. Rodríguez described the challenging conditions of the rescue effort, emphasizing the emotional toll of the tragedy on the community, particularly as the victims were young people at the beginning of their lives.
