Germán Rodas is a prominent figure in Ecuador's anti-corruption movement, serving as a member of the Comisión Nacional Anticorrupción (CNA). He has been vocal in advocating for accountability and transparency in government, especially in light of recent legal proceedings involving former contralor Carlos Pólit, who was found guilty of money laundering in the United States. Rodas expressed that the conviction of Pólit supports their long-standing claims of corruption, following the unjust sentencing of CNA members for defamation in 2017.
