Gheorghe Cristache

Gheorghe Cristache, born in 1951, is a retired Romanian football defender known for his tenure with Steaua Bucharest from 1968 to 1974, during which the club became a dominant force in Romanian football. He earned three caps for the Romanian national team, debuting in 1973 and participating in notable matches against Brazil and Argentina. Currently, at 74 years old, he is facing serious health challenges and has chosen to isolate himself from the world, including from close friends, as he deals with his suffering.
