Giampaolo Goattin is an experienced and highly decorated military pilot from Italy, known for his proficiency in flight operations. He was involved in a tragic accident on March 16, 2022, when an M346 Alenia Aermacchi jet crashed during a training flight, resulting in the death of his co-pilot, Dave Ashley, while Goattin managed to survive by using his parachute.
