Gilles Bélanger

Gilles Bélanger is a Canadian politician and member of the Coalition Avenir Québec party, serving as the Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology in Quebec. First elected in 2018 representing the Orford riding, Bélanger has held roles as legislative assistant to Premier François Legault and Finance Minister Eric Girard. He is known for his efforts in expanding high-speed internet access in rural Quebec and was appointed as minister following the resignation of Éric Caire amid a scandal involving significant cost overruns in the province's auto insurance board's online platform.
