Gilles Gambéri
Gilles Gambéri is a survivor of the 2016 Nice terrorist attack, known for his courageous attempt to stop the truck that was used in the attack. Despite his extraordinary actions during the tragedy, he has always downplayed his role, refusing to consider himself a hero. Recently, he has come forward to share his story as he received a medal of honor from his village, Peillon, nearly nine years after the attack. Gambéri, who worked as a railway worker for 31 years, has dedicated himself to assisting victims and preserving the memory of that tragic night, emphasizing the importance of remembrance and community support in the face of such horror.
