Giorgi Bačiašvili
Giorgi Bačiašvili is a former close associate of Georgian oligarch Bidzina Ivanišvili, who claims he was abducted from abroad and forcibly returned to Georgia on Ivanišvili's orders. Bačiašvili previously led the GFC investment fund, aimed at attracting foreign capital in critical sectors of the Georgian economy, although he had strong ties to Ivanišvili. After leaving Georgia in March due to escalating legal troubles related to his conflict with Ivanišvili, he was sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison for cryptocurrency embezzlement.
