Giorgos M. Foustanos

Giorgos M. Foustanos is a maritime researcher and historian based in Ermoupoli, Syros. For over 35 years, he has dedicated himself to preserving the rich history of Greek shipping through his publishing house, Argos, which produces meticulously researched narratives and luxurious editions. He recently co-founded the non-profit organization Navira with his son Michalis, aiming to establish an international research center in Ermoupoli. His latest project includes the exhibition "The Rhapsody of Greek Seamanship," which highlights the legacy of significant families in contemporary Greek shipping.
