Giselle Nystrom

Giselle Nystrom is the executive director and founder of the Fundación Humanitaria Costarricense (FHCR), an organization that has been operating in Costa Rica since 1997, supporting vulnerable populations, including impoverished youth and indigenous communities. Originally from the United States, she arrived in Costa Rica as a Peace Corps volunteer in 1977 and has dedicated her life to improving the quality of life for those facing social challenges. Under her leadership, the FHCR has implemented various programs to help individuals escape the cycle of violence, poverty, and crime.
