Giuseppe Vaglio

Giuseppe Vaglio, an Italian carpenter from Cremenaga, was imprisoned in the Mauthausen concentration camp during World War II after being arrested for aiding Jewish refugees. His harrowing experiences during his imprisonment and eventual escape are central to his grandson Fabio Andina's novel 'Sechzehn Monate,' which seeks to shed light on the silent suffering and resilience of those who lived through the atrocities of the Holocaust.
